A short introduction to the History of Coffee
The exact origins of coffee remain a mystery, surrounded by captivating stories and legends. It's believed that coffee plants, likely native to Ethiopia, were brought to southern Arabia and cultivated as early as the 15th century.
One popular legend tells of Kaldi, an Arab goatherd who noticed his goats becoming unusually energetic after eating berries from a coffee plant—they even stayed awake late into the night. Intrigued, Kaldi shared his observations with a monk from a nearby monastery, who brewed a drink from the berries. The monk found it invigorating, allowing him to study late into the night, and soon shared this newfound beverage with fellow monks.
Thus, coffee was born, embarking on an extraordinary journey across centuries and cultures to become the beloved drink it is today.
